Zondra Jane (Harrison) Ramey, 77, of Mountain View, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her home. She was born on November 19, 1943 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late George W. and Ina M. (Buckner) Harrison. Zondra earned her Master's Degree in reading and taught at the Mountain View School District from 1975-1986; then her family moved to Alabama where she taught 2nd grade from 1986-1999. In addition to her love for teaching and education, Zondra had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her plants both in her yard and her home. She was known for having an immaculate yard. Zondra derived great joy from spending time with her family and made many wonderful memories which included several trips to Branson. Zondra loved the Lord and was a member of Foothills Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Zondra is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Wayne Ramey; one son, John S. Ramey and wife Beth; one daughter, LeaAnn Farmer; one brother, George M. Harrison and wife Janey; four grandchildren, Mandy Tucker and husband Cameron, Matthew Ramey and wife Riley, Andrew Farmer and Aaron Farmer; one great-grandchild, Elijah Tucker and a host of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Zondra was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Ina M. (Buckner) Harrison and one brother, Eddie Lawrence Harrison.
Visitation is Monday, October 25, 2021 from 12:30-2:00 PM at Foothills Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 PM with Brothers Bryan Wilkie and Tommy Medley officiating. Interment is at the Historic Cemetery of Mountain View in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are B.J. Ross, Allen Harrison, Andrew Farmer, Matthew Ramey, Cameron Tucker, and Aaron Farmer.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Foothills Baptist Church Building Fund, 19935 Highway 5 North, Mountain View, Arkansas 72560.

We became good friends with Zondra and James when our Daughter Beth and thier son John got marriad. We loved the same things and went places together till they moved back home to Mountain View. Our Birthdays and Annisersaries were almost within a few days of each other. Prayers go out to James, our Son in Law John and Lea Ann.

We taught together for a few years in Alabama. I remember her as such a sweet, kind and soft spoken person. Her son married my cousin. She will be missed by many. Prayers for the family.

I loved Zondra very much. She and I were friends as were our mothers from 6th grade on. We lost touch once we went away to college but was fortunate enough to see her a few years ago at our class reunion. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by her 1961 classmates,
