James Henry Sanders Sr. passed away on October 18, 2021. He was born on July 20, 1947 in Wynne, Arkansas to Roy Sanders and Evelyn Sanders.
He was a member of Sharps Chapel Church of God. James was a wood worker and worked with Famer's Supply. James Sanders honorably served in the National Guard.
James was preceeded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Sanders; his daughter, Danyelle ''Dee'' Bassham; and his two sisters, Rosetta Andrews and Mary Loyd.
He will be forever missed by his son, James ''Boo'' Sanders (Serena); five grandchildren, Johnathan Sanders, Kristen Counce, Cynthia Sanders, Jacob Scarborough, Abby Scarborough; three great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Bert Bassham. James leaves behind many family and friends who will remember him with love and joy for the rest of their days.
Graveside service at Copeland Cemetery will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow.

I’m so sorry to learn of Jimmy’s passing. We attended high school together & he was one of the nicest guys you’d ever meet. He always had a smile on his face & willing to help anyone he met.
