Dorothy Annette Slater, age 85, of Gassville, Arkansas passed away Wednesday October 20, 2021 at her home.

Dorothy was born January 16, 1936 in Ruleville, Mississippi to the late Jesse Raymond and Maude Mare (Wright) Willingham. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Dorothy was a Worthy Matron of the Easter Star, and honorary member of the Volunteer Fire Department and was dispatcher in Florence, Mississsippi.

Mrs. Slater is survived by two sons: Charles Lee Slater, Jr. (Gina), Raymond Slater( Paula); two daughters: Victoria Lewis (James), Melinda Dye (Rick), all of Gassville, Arkansas; her brother Robert Franklin Willingham of Ruleville, Mississippi; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles L. Slater, Sr,; her brothers: Jesse Willingham, Charles Willingham, Donald Willingham, and her sisters: Addie Welch and Vontice Kimbrell.

There will be a private family service officiated by Noel Moore.
