Norma Gene Shuffield, age 95, of North Little Rock, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Good Shepherd Memory Care in Little Rock.

Norma was born May 5, 1926, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to John B. and Dona Murray.

On November 7, 1943, she married the love of her life, Charles E. Shuffield. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.

Norma loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren, Leslie and Chuck.

She traveled with them and took them on many trips, her favorite was Disney World.

It was always difficult to tell who was having the most fun, Norma or the grandchildren. She spent many weekends on Lake Ouachita teaching her children and grandchildren to swim and water ski.

Norma was an avid golfer for more than 60 years. She belonged to many ladies' golf associations, serving as an officer in most of them.

She loved the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys.

Norma is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Len McCullough of Auburn, Indiana and Donna and Jim Lindsey of Sherwood, grandchildren, Leslie Owen (Derek Ross) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Chuck Owen (Kris) of Chicago, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Riley Bilger of Fort Wayne, James, Isabella, Zach, and Max Owen of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, John B. Murray, Jr., and sister Donna Marie Beard.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
