One of the best Customs Officers I ever had the pleasure of working with. We always enjoyed his visits to Metaline Falls, Border Station, when he came as the Seattle District Firearms Training Officer.

Gramps, you will be truly missed by so many. You will always be one of the great ones! You taught me how to fish, clean a fish, so many salamander hunts, cut wood, stack it precisely, run from grandma and pull your finger, math, reading even when I hated it, a mean game of cribbage that I actually beat you at sometimes! Christmas each string of tinsel on the tree one by one. Arizona pool time with you and grams and you saying Tia your crazy wild!!! I will never forget you, my heart aches as I would have loved to be with you one last time. I know your happy with Grams and Dad up there looking over us all!!! Until we are together again Gramps love your #1 Granddaughter!!!

So sorry to hear the loss of our dear, former neighbor Harvey.
While in Mtn. Home we met Annie and Harvey. When visto Annie at the N.H. Harvey was always there. He was very devoted husband. After he moved to Oklahoma, he called us and sent cards.
A gentle man whom inspire respect and loyalty. Proud to have known him.

The world has lost one great man!

Harvey was our neighbor (STEVE & KP Dunfee) on Cheviot Loop in Kalispell, MT for many years. Harvey and his dear, sweet, Annie helped with anything we ever needed. Annie's cookies and pies... yep! Harvey's landscaping talents, yep! And Harvey helping KP with fence building and laying down rocks will forever be remembered. We have a picture that Harvey took of our two boys playing basketball out in the driveway. They were about 5 and 7 years old and just loved to play. After 3 moves, we STILL have that picture hanging on our family wall. It was captured by Harvey and he knew how much it meant to us!!

Rest in peace my friend. And to the family of this great human being....God Bless you all.

My step-father Harvey was not only a wonderful and loving man, he was kind, generous and a man of few words as I was growing up. He taught me how to fish for trout and to hunt deer with a bolt action rifle. I believe I made him proud when I took the oath of enlistment and joined the U.S. Navy 30 minutes before he retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Personnelman. When I made Chief Radioman my Dad again was proud of me. Suffice it to say, Harvey Wardius was truly my hero since 1957.
