I met John on West Taft Street in Santa Maria, Ca. he was 12, I was 15 we played basketball together for a good while and became the best of friends. John was my best man at my wedding in 1967. He and I did many things together, he was a true best friend, we were like brothers. It saddens me that he is gone, a heart of gold, I know he is in a much better place now. Rest in Peace my brother, you will never be forgotten.
