Douglas Wade Storey, 61, of Mountain View, Arkansas left this earth to ride the streets of gold in heaven on October 10, 2021. Douglas was born on July 5, 1960 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Warren and Sylvia Storey. He retired from truck driving and ConAgra. He loved to hunt and fish but most of all he loved riding his motorcycle.
Douglas is survived by his fiancee Misty Powell; two daughters, Tiffany Flores and Alicia Hernandez; seven grandchildren, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Nayalie, Bianca, Diego, Victoria, and Anthony; one sister, Debbie Loyd; four nephews, Landon Storey, Kanyon Storey, Dylan Burns, and Derek Burns; two nieces, Karissa Storey and Haley Rowland; two sisters-in-law, Jessica Burns Rowland and Shelby Floyd and many other family and friends.
Douglas was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Anita Burns Storey; his parents, Warren and Sylvia Storey; brother, Jeff Storey, and grandparents Jesse and Seewilla Sheenan.
Visitation is Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services with full Masonic rites will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021, 2:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel with Brother Daryl Pitts officiating. Interment will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Chris George, Don Partee, Murphy Taylor, Dylan Burns, Derek Burns, Randy Berry, and Shannon Motes. Honorary pallbearers are Karissa Storey, Haley Rowland, Gabriel Hernandez, Elizabeth Hernandez, Nayalie Hernandez, Bianca Flores, Diego Flores, Victoria Flores, and Anthony Flores, and members of Blue Mountain Lodge #202 and members of Lindsey Lodge #292.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
We're so sorry for this loss. Doug was a man of his word. He was a good coworker when we were working together year's ago. He was not only a loved family member but a true friend. He will be missed by many family and friends.
