Edith Pearl Gatlin, 93, of Pocahontas, AR, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Randolph County Nursing Home. She was born October 25, 1927 in Grubbs, AR to Dave and Irene (Waddill) Vinson. Edith worked as a CNA for 15 years at St. Bernards Hospital until retirement. She was a member of Pocahontas Baptist Church and loved her family, camping, fishing, dancing, birdwatching and gardening.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Gatlin; a special friend, Charlie Tinker; a grandchild, Michael Barton; and four brothers.
Edith is survived by three sons, Larry (Della) Prine, David (Sandra) Prine and Ricky (Darlene) Prine; two daughters, Lesia Barton and Vicky Pipes; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 12:30 Monday at the Pocahontas Baptist Church with Michael Loury officiating.

Grandma was a very special lady. So strong and caring. I just knew she was gonna out live everyone of us. Forever our guardian Angel. Now you can rest grandma. Love you all!
Mrs. Edith, she was truly a free & true spirit to be around. Very blessed to have known her. We had some great times. Love you and always will keep our memories close to my heart.
Edith was a beautiful soul that lived a long healthy happy life that I was fortunate enough to be a part of. My condolences to the family.

Aunt Edith was a very special lady. She was always full of life, spunky, funny, and kind. She was a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Aunt, and friend to many.
I have a lot of wonderful memories of her that I will always cherish!
For those that know me, know she was my favorite Aunt!
