Thomas "Tom" Willems, 48, a resident of Paris, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at Baptist Hospital in Fort Smith.
He was born July 17, 1973, in Fort Smith to David Matthew and Margaret Ann (Reed) Willems. Tom married Elizabeth (Swafford) Willems on April 29, 1995, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Paris. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Paris. Tom spent his life working in agriculture, most recently as the Field Service Manager for TYM Tractors. Tom was a member of the Roseville Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to making his living in agriculture, Tom also made farming his hobby anything from antique tractors and tractor pulls to truck pulls. He also loved auctions and being around the people at the auctions. Tom loved helping people and he didn't know a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Willems of Paris; a son, Jacob M. Willems of Paris; a daughter, Katherine Willems of Paris; his parents, David and Margaret (Reed) Willems of Paris; four brothers, Tim Willems of Scranton, Tony Willems of McCallister, Oklahoma, Terry Willems of Scranton and Toby Willems of Scranton.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2021, at Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Rosary service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris with Fr. Reginald Udouj, OSB officiating. Burial will follow in Oliver Cemetery near Subiaco under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Willems, Shane Molton, David Vorster and Tim, Terry, Tony and Toby Willems. Garrett Meas, Chuck Swafford, Travis Shaw, Sam Willems and Matt Churchman will serve as honorary pallbearers.

My heart is hurting. I said good by to a wonderful neighbor and friend. His life was cut short. He fought a hard battle this year and lost the last one. He has helped me out of a couple of catastrophes, probably more. I am sure anyone who knew him could tell of times he was there for him. He never met a stranger. If you were a stranger you weren't for long. I haven't known him as long as some of you but it didn't take long to know what kind of man he was. My love and sympathy to all his family.
