Cathy Lynn (Chasteen) Sears, 62, of Russellville, Arkansas passed away September 23, 2021 with her loved ones by her side. She was born July 31, 1959 to her parents, Dean and Cleo (Domer) Chasteen, in Central African Republic. She was a Business Office Assistant for Ft. Madison CSD for 10 years and for Mt. Pleasant CSD for 30 years. Cathy was a faithful servant and member at Calvary Baptist Church for 30 years where she participated in special music and other ministries. As a member at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, she attended Senior Sunday School Class. Cathy enjoyed cross-stitching, traveling, reading, and playing the piano. She loved her family, Church family and friends with all her heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Cleo (Domer) Chasteen, and her grandparents.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 30 years, W. Houston Sears; two daughters: Tamara L. (Cameron) Williams of Sheffield Village, OH, Stephanie N. Wellington of Victor, IA; two bonus sons: George W. (April) Sears of Ormond Beach, FL, and J. David (Vicki) Sears of Milford, OH; seven grandchildren, Josh (Elise) Sears, Jacob Sears, Miranda (Austin) Taylor, Jesse Sears, Trevor Wellington, Ian Spencer, and Brynlee Schmidt; one great-granddaughter, Madison Sears; three brothers: Tim (Toni) Chasteen of Jackson, MO, Darryl (Cheryl) Chasteen of Texarkana, TX, and Terry (Susan) Chasteen of Olathe, KS; one sister, Vickie (Bruce) Cady of Waco, TX; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Russellville, AR with Bro. Doug Hambrick officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in Clarksville, AR with Jacob Sears, Trevor Wellington, Ian Spencer, Austin Taylor, Herman Houston and Barney Pierson serving as Pallbearers.
