Mrs. Janis Engle, 70, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 in Mountain Home. She was born September 5, 1951 in Waco, Texas to Carl and Patsy (Hamilton) Stevens. She was a free spirit who loved the color purple, as one could see from the color of her clothes all the way to the color of her hair. Only thing she loved more than the color purple was her grandchildren who she adored.
Janis is survived by her two sons: Michael Day (Robyn) and Joshua Kammerer; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Carl Stevens, Jr. (Mary) and Charles Stevens (Tammy), and two sisters: Paula Terry (Dennis) and Sheri Perino Goforth (Danny). She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be private.

I will miss the ease of our conversations Janis, our heartfelt laughter and your generous heart. I know your world were your children and grandchildren. You will be missed greatly. To my sweet friend and family. Janis took me under her wing when I arrived to work at BRV. I spent many days getting to know her and then helping her when she needed me. She was an unforgettable presence, had a lovely caring heart and we became very close. She will be missed by so many of us. You put a big old Texas stamp on my heart. Love you so much. Our last words were Love you Honey see you tomorrow. I will see you again someday in your most likely purple room in heaven!
