August 27, 1952 - September 22, 2021

Linda Dianne Nickle, 69, of North Little Rock, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Springhill Baptist Hospital.

Linda was born in Wynne, AR to Albert Langdon Doss, Sr., and Mattie Marie Duke Doss, on August 27, 1952. A graduate of Cross County High School and Arkansas State University with a Master's Degree in Sociology, her career included time with the Arkansas Housing Authority and Mortgage and Loan Company. Preston and Linda spent many weekends following State and National Chili Competitions.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother Walter Ray Doss, and her twin brother Albert Langdon Doss, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Robert Preston Nickle of the home. About 15 years ago I was traveling with my gf, and we were lucky enough to be able to spend a few days in North Little Rock with Linda and my Uncle Preston. She had us in stitches the entire time, serving up stories that made us spit out our drinks. I could have stayed there forever. What a wonderful spirit. She seemed to live right inside the wonder of this life, wherever it showed itself. A real, “stop and smell the roses” type of person. And, my goodness, that delightful laugh…

We love you, Aunt Linda. May you rest In peace.

I loved Aunt Linda. I will always cherish the time I did have with her growing up. I remember always sitting and watching her put makeup on and annoying her because I asked so many questions. God Bless all the family

So sad to hear about Linda's passing. Linda and I went to ASU together and remained friends through the years. Our last visit was in a NLR grocery store years ago. She was always a loving and generous person and so intelligent and fun to be around. God give your family peace and comfort. I will always remember and love her.

I first met Linda at TGIF. After that she became a friend. She was working at Bank of America Mortgage & she was the person that led Jeff & I through the purchasing of our home in 1999. I’ve visited with her a gazillion times since then. She was a real genuine lady. She will be missed. Prayers for her Husband, Preston, her siblings & the entire family during this difficult time.
RIP Linda!
