Paul Wayne Turner, a Schneider National truck driver and training engineer, passed away September 15, 2021, from Covid-19 complications at the age of fifty-four at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, MS. He is survived by his wife, Joni Turner; his children, Chelsea Flores, Micaylah Turner, and Chase Turner, as well as his granddaughter, Alaina Flores. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Hattie and William (Bill) Turner; and son, William Daniel.
Paul was born in West Memphis, AR, on February 8, 1967, to Hattie and William (Bill) Turner and lived there most of his life. He also lived in Florida for a short time and graduated high school there. He worked for Schneider Nations for twenty-five years becoming a loyal and valued truck driver and training engineer, traveling all over the United States. He married Joni Turner in 1996 and welcomed her and her four year old adopted daughter, now Chelsea Flores, into his family. Together, Joni and Paul adopted and raised Micaylah and Chase in the early 2000's. Paul was a very loving, funny and kind husband, father and friend who worked hard to provide for his family and friends and anyone who needed help. He enjoyed watching any sport on TV, especially football, and playing with is granddaughter, Alaina. He was a deacon at Living Water Ministries in West Memphis, AR where he was involved in many activities. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, co-workers and all others who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00pm September 23, 2021, at the pavilion at Crittenden Memorial Park, located at 2206 US 64 in, Marion, AR. Pastor Joanne Thompson will officiate the service. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at the Roller Citizens Funeral Home located at 201 Pine St. in West Memphis, AR.
I miss you more than anyone will ever understand or comprehend but I know you are in a better place and not suffering. I love you so much and I’m so grateful for the time I had with you! Rest easy dad!
Brother you will be truly missed. I really enjoyed the time God allowed me to call you my friend. I have never heard you say anything bad about anyone. I still hope to hear you call me old man. Until we meet again

Paul was a member of our work family for almost 25 years. Paul was the ideal example of commitment and dedication, he was a peer, a mentor, and a friend to many. To know and work with him for so long was an honor. We will miss you Paul.
