Christopher Lively, 48, of Cushman died September 6, 2021.He was born April 10, 1973 in Batesville to Bernard Harlan Lively and Geneva (James) Lively.
Christopher was a Firefighter at Cushman Volunteer Fire Department, where he worked for 20 years.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and tinkering in his shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two aunts, one nephew, and mother-in-law, Cathy Wheeler.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 28 years, Michelle (Wheeler) Lively of the home; two sons, Christopher Thorne of Jonesboro and Devin Thorne of Batesville; one daughter, Blaire Lively of Desha; two brothers, Shane Lively (Julie) of Melbourne and Todd Lively of Cushman; father-in-law, James Wheeler; brother-in-law, Jeff Wheeler (Shylo); one grandchild, Alissandria Garcia; and six nephews, Lane, Ethen, Noah, Jaden, Nikko, and Thaylan.
A private burial will be held at a later date.

Chris was a great person to work with and for. When we lost Don Stitcher, he took on the job of Guard production manager like he was born to it. He was very compassionate, never showed anger, was very upbeat, just a super, super person. He was very passionate about his family, his firefighting, and the Guard and always kept the press running. My prayer is for peace for Chris and his family and friends.

So so sorry to hear about Chris. A great loss. He made coming into the Guard to pick up my papers interesting. If he was smiling, the press was behaving. If he wasn’t I tried to highlight his day by doing or saying something stupid so he would have to laugh or at least smile. We often talked about Michelle and Blair. He loved his family but HATED FB. 😊
