Charlie and I served together at Ramey AFB in Puerto Rico. He attended our wedding at the chapel on base on March 04, 1972. As a matter of fact he took our wedding videos. Kathy and I just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. I remember Charlie as a fun loving and all around great guy.
Charlie has been on my mind lately and I thought I'd get on Google and see if I could locate him and get in touch. I did find him. But not in the way I wanted.
Having seen his memorial video, I saw that Charlie got married. Had a wonderful family. And had many friends. That made me smile.
Also saw that Charlie loved to hunt. Me too. If only I had stayed in touch throughout the years we could have went elk hunting together here in my state of Wyoming.
I want to express my condolences to Charlie's wife, children, family and friends.
Sincerely,
Bill Leasor

I am so sorry for your loss! Keith was most certainly one of the good ones!
Charlie was a good friend to my parents, Dennis and Carol Morrison. When my dad was going through cancer treatment he came to visit him regularly, usually bringing vegetables from his garden or deer meat, and always a story or two. Those visits meant a lot to dad (and us), Since dad's passing he's been good to check on mom and bring her vegetables. I know he is going to be missed by many. Prayers for all of you.
I will miss our phone conversations, we fixed a lot of the Worlds problems. We met in the Air Force and have been friends since. Charlie always would fill me in on all the family activities, he sure was a proud Dad, step Dad and Grand Dad !!
Our Condolences Mary and to the whole Family
Rest in Peace Brother

I just saw this. Sure thought a lot of Charles. He really loved music. I saw him once after Barber Dan passed away and he had let his hair grow out. I asked what was up and he said that he hadn't found a barber to take Dan's place yet. So Linda, there could be something to that.
Prayers and Peace to the family....Gary Rounds

Momma told me Charles had passed and I just couldn’t believe it. Someone else that we know and love taken too soon due to Covid.
I guess I grew up knowing him since he’s my mawmaw’s nephew but in My adult years I grew to really get to know and love him. He’d always have a story to tell and a smile on his face. And wow his face looked SO much like my daddy’s. I’m sure he got a laugh because I’d tell him that every time I’d see him. He was such a good man that I sure wish we could have kept here. Sending prayers to Mary and all the family. He will be greatly missed but we know he is with Jesus waiting on us all to come home.
