Andrew William Shaw

of Vilonia, AR

October 17, 1978 - September 3, 2021

Andrew "Andy" William Shaw, 42, of Vilonia went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2021. He was surrounded by his wife and many who loved him. He was born October 17, 1978 in Conway to Jack A. Shaw and Sandra (Goff) Shaw.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kim Shaw of Vilonia. His parents, Jack and Sandy Shaw of Vilonia; brother Chris (Sharise) Shaw of Vilonia; two children; one daughter Alyssa (Jesse) Swint of Clinton, one son Tyler (Sammy) LeMarr of Enola, two grandchildren Braxton and Paisley Swint. Additionally, Andy is survived by 150+ team members that share his work vision. His friends and loved ones are too numerous to count. His life of servant leadership has touched the lives of every person he ever met.

Andy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He was a faithful servant to his church family for over 20 years. He was an entrepreneur with a great passion for his work family, customers and the meat industry.

The family is deeply grateful for the care provided to Andy by the doctors, nurses and staff of Conway Regional Medical Center, specifically CCU and 1 East for the care and compassion they gave to Andy and his wife during this difficult time.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm, Friday, September 10th at Friendship Baptist Church in Conway, AR.

Funeral Service will be held at 2pm Saturday, September 11th at the church with burial following at Vilonia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Shaw, Hunter Shaw, Tyler LeMarr, Jesse Swint, Jeff Williams, Jared Brady, Jeremy Tilley and Cody Goff.

Family requests that all who attend the service please wear masks due to Covid 19.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Andy's honor to the Scholarship Fund for the Missouri Association of Meat Processors to MAMP P.O. Box 518, Carthage, MO 64836 or your local FFA chapter.

Andy's wife Kim and I have been friends for over 26 years. He was such a wonderful husband to her. He made her so happy and I loved him for it. He was a good, Christian person, and always made me feel welcome. I know that there are hundreds who knew him and felt that too. I am so very sorry for Kim and the rest of the family for this big loss. I love you guys and will be praying for you during this difficult time and the weeks and months ahead. XX

My dear nephew, although I know you are in a better place you leave us wondering why God chose to take you to his kingdom so soon. You were a beacon of light, a ray of hope, a messenger of peace and a great disciple of Christ. I remember one of our last conversations, you were helping unload Granny's recliner. Although your were late for supper and tired from work, you took time to ask if John and I had considered coming back to church. You told me how glad you were we had came. You told me it meant a lot to you. Well dear, part those clouds and take a peep some Sunday, you may just get your wish. Rest in the arms of God!

I’ll never forget Andy’s sharp intellect, wit, and wisdom. I don’t recall a topic coming up to which he couldn’t contribute . . . all the while maintaining a humility and warmth that is so uncommon. In the context of business – which is how I came to know him – he was one of the good guys. 99th percentile good.

There aren’t a lot of people who can truly say that they had a lifelong impact on so many people. Andy Shaw is one of those men. Everyone who met and talked with him loved him and walked away feeling like they were his best friend. I know that I will forever be blessed that I got to have him in my life and the life of my family for as long as I did and I know heaven is a whole lot brighter even as the world is so much darker.

My thoughts and prayers, and that of my team, go out to Andy's Family and the teams he lead. Andy was an entrepreneur, innovator, leader in our industry, but most importantly he was a genuinely good person.

I will miss our “what If” discussions; Andy’s insight into what it takes to run multiple facilities and how to innovate to keep his teams competitive while still meeting regulations was second to none.

I lost a client, but what hurts the most is that I lost a friend.

Andy is with his Lord and Savior now, it doesn’t make it any easier on those still here, but he was a man of great faith who did his best to live his life in faith. RIP

Hey Andy, it's been a while since we have had a chance to talk and will miss the times we did very much. We sure did have a lot of fun in the summers trading baseball cards, fishing, camping, going to the Beebe with Uncle El, helping Ma in the garden, teaming up the horses with Pa, and borrowing them Dr. Peppers from the metal works soda machine, Go Kart rides and so much more.
To the entire Shaw Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of remembering Andy's kind and loving nature for being a really great friend. God Bless you all and hope to see you all soon. Tyler
