Freddie "Mac" L. McMaster, 81, of Marion, Arkansas, passed away on August 29, 2021. He was born on March 10, 1940, in Wynne, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, May, and stepson, Samuel. He is survived by his daughter, Divine Rhodes, son, Freddie McMaster II, four grandchildren (Amber, Samuel, Destiny, Katherine), and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind six siblings (Bob, Dale, Larry, Diane, Cathy, and Michael).
Freddie served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1966 where he worked in communications. He retired from Roadway Express trucking company after having worked there for approximately thirty years as a freight checker/forklift operator.
"Mac" was the epitome of a hard-working, selfless man who would help anyone in any way. Over the years, he enjoyed discussing politics as well as going to auction sales and the casino. He was deeply proud of and key to each of the family members' progress and accomplishments. He was loved by many and will be missed tremendously by all who knew him. "Mac" was truly one of a kind.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 1:30 PM-3:30 PM at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas. The family kindly requests masks be worn during this indoor event due to Covid-19 concerns.
MY DEAR friend that I've known for 40 years you will be truely missed. You were always there for me and my family anytime we needed help or just there to be a friend. Rest in peace.
Mr. Mac YOU were truely a great man who was always there for us any time we needed anything and never asked for nothing in return.you will be missed dearly missed. Rest in peace .

Mac was part of our family. We’ve been family 55years. I’ll always cherish my memories. I know he is happy to be reunited with May and Sammy

I really don't know what to say grandpa because I never planned for the time to come we have gotten so close in the little time that I had here with you and we have done so much together with the little time we had together I will forever cherish every one of those moments I know how proud you were of me and I will continue to make you proud in our last conversation you said you knew I wouldn't let you down and im goin to make sure I don't let you down but for now until I see you again rest easy grandpa I love you
