Mary Ann Jeffries, age 85, of Marvell, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Jeffries was born September 25, 1935 in Marvell to the late Marald and Bernice Bagwell. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marvell and worked as a registered nurse at Helena Regional Medical Center for 59 years until her retirement in 2013.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Debra Kay Schaffhauser (Robert Allen) of Marvell; granddaughter, Sara Roth (Jeremy) of Marvell; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Allen Roth and Ty William Roth; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd B. Jeffries, Jr.; and sister, Marilyn Schaffhauser.
A funeral service for Mary Ann Jeffries will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 30, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Schaffhauser Cemetery in Marvell. Brother Kenny Lee will officiate.
Pallbearers are Easton Davidson, Darrell Miller, Todd Russell, Herschel Schwantz, Jeremy Roth and Donald Ray Washburn.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
Debbie, I am very saddened to learn of the passing of your Mom. The nursing profession was blessed to have her a part of it for so many years. She helped teach, and influenced a generation of nurses! Praying for comfort for you, Sarah and family.
