February 16, 1935 - August 27, 2021

James Henry Carter, age 86, of Harrison, passed away Friday morning, August 27, 2021, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. He was born February 16, 1935, in Parthenon, Arkansas, the son of Martha (Snell) and James Carter, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Marion Reed Carter; one sister, Mary Jan; and three brothers, John Carter, George Carter, and Jessie Carter.

James loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family. He was a skilled electrician and always stayed busy with projects. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by two sons, Robby J. Carter and Bob J. Carter, both of Harrison; one sister, Anna Mae, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; one grandchild, Robert J. Carter; and many other friends.


Visitation was Monday, August 30, 2021, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The funeral service was 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Eddie Reed officiating.

Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robby Carter, Robert Carter, Bud Atkinson, Larry Milum, Doug Hankins, and A. C. Welch.

The honorary pallbearer was Bob Carter.

We all loved you, heaven has gained an angel but we will miss you here. I think of all the happy times spent with you & Aunt Marion & my cousins & how happy you were taking care of them.
