Charles was a life-long member of the Steprock Church of Christ. He was a hard worker who had a special passion for his family, farming, and his cattle. He always joked that he was not a fan of long obituaries and that he wanted his to read that, ''he was just a tired farmer,'' - and that he was.

I remember going to Aunt Crickets and Uncle Charles for lunch, and fishing of course,
Lunch time came and Aunt Francis rang the bell, he comes riding up on a big white horse, could have been John Wayne in my mind but he could've whipped John Wayne in my mind.
Men like him will be and are missed.
Barbara we are so sorry to hear about your dad our thoughts and prayers are with you all God Bless
So many treasured moments with Charles.....going to the store for a "country coke," opening the cattle gates when I visited Step Rock, playing in the hay barn with kitties, feeding the catfish, baiting my own fishing hook and petting my first cow! So many more stored up in my heart! Charles will always be cherished in our hearts. Blessed by his example of steadiness, work ethic and deep Faith in Jesus! Gentle and kind! Thankful for the HOPE we have! Seeking God's peace and comfort for our loved ones, Francis, Sandra, Barbara, Marilyn and all your families! We love you!
Charles and Daddy ( Howard Froud) were probably best guy friends. I found did funny they passed almost to the day only a year apart. Like Dad I’m sure he participated in the farm and ranch as much as he was able to, even as he was ill. It was such a part of who they were.
As the days go by, may you recall those good memories of the time you had to be together.
Thinking and praying for you.

My condolences to all the family. My heart hurts for y'all. We will see Charles in heaven. He won't be a tired farmer there. What a reunion that will be. Much prayers for all. May God bless and comfort in this hard time
