of Cabot, AR
February 6, 1950 - August 13, 2021
Charles Glenn Cook, 71 of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on August 13, 2021, at Baptist Health Springhill in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on February 6, 1950, in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Charles Edward and Treccie Dee Lammers Cook.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra Gail Starling Cook; one son, Jacob Gates; one daughter, Corrie (Waylon) Edge; one brother, Keith Edwin Cook; one special friend who was like a second brother, Jimmy Worden along with many other friends.
Glenn had many different interests and enjoyed continually learning about them. He enjoyed finding new things about his heritage. He was active in the Mountain Man Living History program. He served our country very proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War Era where he was on board ship in the Mediterranean a great deal of the time. Glenn worked in many different areas during his life and went back to school and received his bachelor's degree in Education. On completion of this, he began teaching at North Pulaski County High School in 1994 and remained there until he retired. He had a rich family heritage in his Scottish Ancestry loved being part of that and sharing what he knew about that.
But with all that, what was most important to him was his family. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. He was known to come to Searcy just to take his mother out to eat and spend some time with her. She encouraged Glenn and Keith to stay close and she would find ways to do that for them. He enjoyed being with his wife and daughter and getting to know his son. Friends were very important to Glenn and Sandra.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Victory Worship Center in Beebe, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at the Beebe Cemetery on South Lemon Street following the service. All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
