Doug, Karen & Family, There’s a special place in all of our hearts for our mothers, just like there’s a special place in every mother’s heart for her children. You will carry her memory in your heart forever. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your mother.
I worked with Gwen at the Benton post office for many years. She was always smiling. I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone, but she was forever telling funny stories when she was the butt of the joke. Here's one: Years ago the dairy queen was offering half-priced banana splits on Sundays, so after church Gwen and friends enjoyed the treat. Then Gwen and friends went in during the middle of the week and Gwen asked if the half price banana split special was still going on and the counter man said "Yes, but only on Sundays." So Gwen said "Oh, good. I'll have a sundae!" She kept us laughing all the time. She loved her family, friends and church family. She was an angel on earth and will keep them laughing in heaven, I'm sure.
Gwen, another friend and I had planned a get together at my home in Sept. This is. Heart breaking. We had talked and planned a lot.We would start off where we left off talking and start laughing. She loved her children, grands and greats. She loved her domino group, and loved her church. She is happy in Heaven today and we will meet again there.
Gwen was my special friend from the time we started to school. We spent many nights at each other's home.
She married while we were still in school as seniors so we weren't in the same social group our last year. Lol
I loved Gwen and her family. I remember her dad playing the piano and Gwen followed in his footsteps.
Gwen was always kind, supportive, happy and giving. It saddens me that she has left this life but thrills me that she has inherited her new body and new life.

We just lost Sandra - and now the horrible COVID has taken Gwen. For the many years that Sandra was my friend, she shared her sister with me. I was allowed to be part of the annual Butler Christmas celebration and we took trips together to Branson, Memphis, and one adventure at Jasper "hunting" the elk. I have so many wonderful memories of our time together. I loved Gwen and will miss her.
Prayers for your family as you go through this. Remember it is not goodbye it’s I’ll see you later. So just wait on that heavenly hello.
Gwen brightened everyone's day with her smile and pleasant personality. Our loss is heavens gain.
Loved to hear Gwen sing and hear her laugh. I will miss her.
