Leon D. Hale, 96, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021. He was born January 29, 1925, to William and Clara Hale. Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Austin Hale, and his son, John David Hale. Survivors include multiple family members. He served our country in the US Navy during World War II. Mr. Hale had a great love for family, friends, his garden, cooking zucchini bread, and canning green beans. We love you and you will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 2 PM at McPherson Cemetery, Salt Creek Rd., Benton, AR.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital.

Mr. Hale was sharp, witty, encouraging, generous, kind, hard working and loving. He was a great patriot. I am grateful to have known him. To have more men grow to be like Mr. Hale would be a benefit to all.

We are so very sorry for the loss of this precious man who has been the best neighbor any person could ever have. We loved him like family and pray GOD's comforting love and peace will surround his family and give them strength during this trying time. Praise GOD we will meet again when we cross over Jordan...
