Leah Farris

of Conway, AR

March 31, 1979 - August 3, 2021

Leah Farris, 42, of Conway, AR, peacefully left this life at her home on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She was born on March 31, 1979 in Little Rock, AR to William J. Farris, Jr. and Susan Light Farris. Leah was preceded in death by her grandfathers, William J. Farris, Sr. and Maxie Ray Light.

Leah is survived by her parents; Bill and Susan Farris, siblings; William J. Farris III (Carrie), Lauren Farris, and Whitney Cummings (Leo). She is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Abby, Ellie, & Max Farris and Charlotte & Naomi Cummings, grandmothers; Beneva C. Farris and Mary LaRussa Light, as well as a host of other family and friends.

All services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway on Saturday, August 7, 2021, beginning with a visitation at 10:30AM, a Rosary at 11:30AM and a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00PM. Entombment will follow at the St Joseph Mausoleum.

The family asks that attendees of the visitation wear masks and sanitize before visiting with the family. Leah's favorite color was red, so the family invites anyone attending to join us in wearing something red to honor Leah.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Conway Regional Health Foundation, St. Joseph School Endowment and Trust (Class of 1998), Community Action Program of Central Arkansas (CAPCA), or the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM).

Susan, Bill, Lauren, Trey and Mary Rose,
I'm still trying to process how someone so sweet and gentle is no longer with us. She touched my heart and I am so thankful that we finally got the chance to meet. Leah will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew her, I know she does in mine.

I was saddened to hear of Leah's passing. I know she will be missed dearly by her loving family. During the family's last visit to Florida I was able to be part of Leah's birthday celebration at the cousins get together. It was a happy day for her and all who celebrated with her. Beautiful memories like that will keep her forever in our hearts.

With love, Cathy

Leah was a truly a great friend. She always saw the good in any rough situation. We met through mutual friends in 2012. We have cried together, laughed together and experienced many beautiful memories. She was an inspiration as a woman of faith. She devoted her life to God and her family. All she could ever talk about are her nieces and nephews. I will miss her so very much.
I'm so sorry Susan and Bill, I am here for anything and everything you need please don't hesitate to ask. Love and prayers. Angela

Leah was a kind, sweet soul that will be sorely missed. She never let the problems with her kidneys slow her down. She was always interested in learning new things such as ballroom dance which was how I came to know her. She volunteered & worked on behalf of children. Leah was always in good spirits even when she wasn't feeling well. I know she got to travel & see the world via family vacations & cruises. Her loss is the world's loss because her presence made this old world better.
