Linda Ann Kardiak, age 75 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 at her home. She was born in Glendale, California on August 8th, 1945 to Larry Scarborough and Evelyn Coles Scarborough.
Linda was a registered nurse and worked for many years in California, Louisiana, and Arkansas. After retirement, she continued her studies and stayed up to date on all medical treatments and procedures. She became a certified massage therapist specializing in Reiki. She loved learning and healing, practicing a holistic approach in her therapies. She worked at LA Salon for the last 15 years. Her natural caregiver's heart made her a needful and necessary addition to her work family. Linda enjoyed reading, whether for learning or pleasure. She was an avid animal lover and her large menagerie of different pets including an emu, peafowl, pigs, horses, and many other varieties of the animal kingdom was a testament to this love. Her three dogs, four cats, miniature horse, goat, donkey, and a rescued wild turkey will miss her love and care.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Kardiak of California, Shannon Kardiak of Little Rock, and Jennifer Kardiak of New York; her siblings, Larry Scarborough of Texas and Doris Higgins of Colorado; four nephews; one niece; her partner, Peter Bartlett of the home; and many friends who will miss her greatly.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Evelyn Scarborough; and one sister, Darla Balandran.

I just found out about Linda's passing in August. I am so sorry for you and your families loss! Though I had not been in touch with Linda, for years, she was never far from my thoughts.
As you may know, we worked together in LaPlace and I seemed to have been a big influence in her moving up to Arkansas over 30 years ago. Linda was a good friend and I regret that we had not stayed in touch with each other. I guess that we take for granted that a person will just always be where we left them. I do know better. Linda will be missed.
I'm shocked and sad, I just found out about Linda's passing. We grew up together, her Mom was my Dad's girlfriend in hi school. I live in Los Angeles, we texted.
She stayed with me Xmas a year ago when she came to get Kenny. It's the 15th of September, I've been calling and texting and got no reply. Of course I'm so sorry for your loss, I wish some one would contact me.
