Margie Juanita Neeley

of Benton, AR

June 3, 1927 - July 30, 2021

Margie Juanita Neeley was born June 3, 1927 in Hazen, Arkansas to Elwood and Sally Wheatley. She went to be with the Lord July 30, 2021. The oldest of 14 children, she learned at a young age to care for others. After having 9 children of her own she set out to further her talents by attending nursing school. She graduated LPTN school at the Benton State Hospital in June of 1970. There she worked until her retirement. She worked many years in long term care units around the Benton area, where she took to heart the responsibility of caring for the elderly and those in need. When she finally retired from nursing altogether, she set out with her husband Pete to fish, camp, and enjoy life.

She will forever be the anchor that holds the legacy of her family together. Miss Margie as many would call her, was a member of Fairplay Baptist Church for over 70 years and was a devoted servant of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 of her siblings, and 4 grandchildren. She is survived by her 9 children, 32 grandchildren, 54 great- grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton, Arkansas 72015 from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday August 4, 2021. The service will be Thursday 10 A.M. at Fairplay Baptist Church 8516 Fairplay rd. Benton Arkansas. Interment will follow at Fairplay cemetery after service.

Kim and family . Just wanted to say how much I admired Margie as I attended FairPlay Baptist Church with her over the past many years. She was always such a sweet and caring lady whose love for her Saviour was evident in all that she did. I’m saddened that I m not going to be able to attend her service today, but know that I’m praying for comfort for you and the rest of the family.

There is so much about you I could comment on but the box isn’t big enough for it all. Suffice it to say James and I were in awe of you & your spirit. I will miss you like crazy but I know James will welcome the company. Love you dear girl, so glad you were a part of my life.

Margie was such a dear lady. Every time I stepped into her house she made me feel like I was her family... Like one of her kids. She was a superwoman in my eyes and I loved her. She will be greatly missed but I know that she is where she has always wanted to be.. in heaven with her loved ones that passed before.

Father must have a very special assignment for her in heaven. She was a tirelessly worker throughout her life, and she was a positive example to those she has left behind. May you take comfort in the knowledge that she is resting in our Savior’s loving arms.
