Lillian Estelle Nichols was born March 22nd 1943 in Little Rock Arkansas to Charles and Eva Marie Dotson Nichols. She was the oldest of 8 children. She met the love of her life in grade school, Raymond Houston Skinner, born April 13th 1938 in England Arkansas to George and Tressie Skinner. He was the oldest of 6 children. Lillian and Raymond continued to build their relationship leading to their marriage on November 20th 1958. Together they had 8 children; Carl, giving them 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, Marvin ''Randy,'' giving them 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, Annette, giving them 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, Darrell, giving them 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, Melinda, giving them 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, Charles ''Allen,'' giving them 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and Carroll ''Wayne,'' giving them two grand dogs Milo and Logan. A Skinner baby girl, still born 1974. Together 56 years, in which they never spent a day apart. They shared a love and passion for their family, hard work, dirt track racing, hunting, collecting antiques and old trucks. They loved only each other, a love that was passed to the entire family, a love that stood the test of time, a love that should be honored, cherished and remembered always. They were proud of the family they built. On September 22nd 2015 Raymond was called home long before any of us were ready. Our family foundation was shattered. Lillian's next six years were lonely missing the love of her life everyday but she kept strong for the family. She passed away peacefully July 30th 2021 at their home.
They are now in heaven together.

Praying for you all.
(1Co 15:55)  O death, where is thy sting O grave, where is thy victory
(1Co 15:56)  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
(1Co 15:57)  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1Co 15:58)  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet mother. I always looked for her and Raymond on the top row at I-30 Speedway. They were so pleasant to be around and to visit with. Don loved picking Raymond's brain for his abundant knowledge of the race cars. They would talk forever about motors, transmissions, setups, etc. They loved their family with all their heart and I know you all will miss her just as you miss your daddy. Cherish the precious memories. God needed a beautiful rose for his bouquet and he picked your mama on her chosen day. Prayers and Love for the coming days!

I never got to meet Miss Lillian, but I know her youngest son, Wayne. What I know is she was a strong woman who loved her family fearlessly. She raised a son, who I consider one of the best people I know. I will pray for Miss Lillian and all of you during this sad and difficult time.
