of Welcome Home, AR
November 22, 1946 - July 26, 2021
Daley Sue Ragland, age 74 of Welcome Home, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, July 26th, 2021 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She entered this world in Harriet, Arkansas on November 22nd, 1946. Daley was the youngest of ten children born to Oscar Watts and Cordia Henry Watts.
Daley was a child of God, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law and friend to everyone she met. She was a member of the Welcome Home Church, Fire Department, Northeast Arkansas Cattle Association, participated in every election as a poll worker, and used her cooking talents to love on those who came into her life. Ms. Daley as her neighbors would call her, enjoyed getting to know each of you and becoming a member of your families. She was the type of person who overlooked flaws and loved unconditionally. Daley married Doyle Ragland in 1965 and followed him to Illinois and Indiana with his work before moving back to North Little Rock, Arkansas where they made a home and raised a family. It was important to them both to return to Searcy County and they did just that with a final move to the Welcome Home community in 1977. She worked for a several years outside the home with her friends at Fred's Dollar Store where she always had a smile and a hug to give. Things which mattered to her couldn't be bought. Some of her favorite times were spent with her grandkids and she did all she could to help them. As she left us, she whispered - I love you all.
She is preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Cordia (Henry) Watts, her brothers B.G., Garland, Blaine, Dwight, Wesley (Pete) and Fred Watts; and her sisters Eula (Watts) Baldwin and Ruth (Watts) Baker.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Doyle of the home. A daughter, Gwen (Ragland) Myatt and husband James of Harrison; son Ricky Ragland and wife Tammy of Neosho, MO, and her brother James Watts of Harrison. 11 Grandchildren: Cory Ragland of Lavaca, Shara (Ragland) Waller of Chimes, Brandan Ragland of Russellville, Summer Ragland of Neosho, MO, Jordan Myatt of Fayetteville, Skyler Ragland of Joplin, MO, Ben Ragland of Marshall, Katelin (Ragland) Freeman of Neosho, MO, Carson, Noah, and Ryder Ragland of the home along with 20 great grandchildren, and a whole host of family, friends, and neighbors she dearly loved.
Funeral services for Daley will be 10:30 AM Friday, July 30th, 2021 at Welcome Home Church in Welcome Home, Arkansas with Bro. Roy Ragland officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday, July 29th, 2021 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas. Burial will be in Chinquapin Cemetery near Welcome Home. Bearers will be Kelly Small, Larry Martin, Mark Anderson, Dwain Crymes, Danny Casto and Donnie Ragland. Honorary bearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
