Arthur "Joe" Simpson, 84 of Jonesboro passed away Friday, July 23, 2021. He was born November 10, 1936, in Golden Lake, AR to Arthur and Ocie (Rogers) Simpson. Mr. Simpson was a member of Walnut Street Baptist church, an Army veteran and a retired heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed gardening, yard work and spending time with his family. Joe loved all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but had a special bond with his first grandchild, Jennifer.
He is preceded in death by his parents; loving and exceptional son, Gary Joe Simpson; brother, Wayne Simpson; sisters, Ivy Hudson, Kate Mason and Lily Millirons.
Left to cherish the wonderful memories of Joe are his loving wife of sixty-three years, Patricia (Stacks) Simpson; son, Greg (Traci) Simpson; daughter, Melissa (Chris) Parks; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joey) Luker, Brandon (Brittany) Poynor, Ryan (Anna) Simpson, Patrick Poynor, Jordan Simpson, Emily (Cody) Fortner and Adam (Ashley) Parks; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Layton, Brielle Luker, Ruby, Jade and Summer Poynor, Lily Sue Fortner, Kiah and Scarlett Parks; and sister, Fay Smith.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue, Jonesboro, AR 72401. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Those honored to serve as active pallbearers will be Cody Fortner, Joey Luker, Jordan Simpson, Branden Poynor, Richard Bryan and Kyle Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Poynor and Ryan Simpson.
Lasting memorials may be made to St. Jude or the Alzheimer's Association.

Pat I'm so sorry about Joe. I was going to come to visitation but had a IBS issue so couldnt make it. But your so special to me.
