Grandma was one of the most remarkable women I have ever known. I attribute many of the qualities I have that have made me a success to her. She has been a role model I have sought to measure myself up to and will continue to do so. I have never wished to "make it" to one hundred, but if I could do it like she did, live life as fully as she did, well maybe there might be a reason to consider it. I have already begun to miss her when our phone visits came to a stop, and now just knowing she is not in this world any more for advice and love makes me so sad. I am so honored to have had you for a grandmother! I send all my love to go with you to Heaven! OOXX

Miss Iris was one of my favorite ladies to visit with. She had so many wonderful stories to share that were results of a century of living a colorful life. I recently recalled one of her “common sense” conclusions about dealing with the public when she was selling garden plants. My condolences to the family. Iris was a special person who will be sorely missed.

Mom was a strong remarkable woman. She accomplished so many things in her life more than a lot of us ever hope to. She was always there to lean on no matter what. She instilled in me a love of flowers and so many other things I will greatly miss and always love her.
