William ''Dub'' Parker, 86, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born March 26, 1935, in Egypt, AR to Marshall Daniel and Dorthy (Connor) Parker. He was member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Parker was a veteran of the US Army and was a truck driver until he retired. He enjoyed dancing and playing bingo.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Ida Faye Parker; parents; son, Darrell Ray Parker; three brothers, Daniel, Gerald and David Parker; three sisters, Laverne Melton, Carol Walker, and Doris Benton.

Survivors include his son Farrell Parker; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Parker of Jonesboro and Jimmy Parker of Smithfield, NC; Sisters, Thelma Porter, Deborah Brooks of Jonesboro, Barbara Hendrix of Ash Flat, Mary Bagwell of Smithville, AR, Sharon Vernor of Harrisburg, AR, and Cathy Ezell of Bono.

Graveside services will be 11am, Monday, July 26, 2021, at Johnson Cemetery in Cash with Bro. Tom Herndon officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

To my grandfather who played the role as my father dear papa I will miss you and I'm glad you got to be with Grandma I know you missed her very much I'm so sorry that our last conversation wasn't as pleasant as I would like to have been and for that I apologize one thing that I can say about my grandfather is that he is one of the best men in the world that I've ever met he never cussed and never smoked his only addictions were fried bologna sandwiches and Pepsi and I'm very grateful to have had such a loving and caring and kind father role in my life you will be missed dearly I love you Papa love your eldest granddaughter Brandy Rachelle Parker Jackson

Bill was such a sweet person. He was always smiling and had a hug for you. He really enjoyed his dancing and being with everyone and visiting. We will sure miss him at the Senior Dances.

Bill will be greatly missed. He was such a sweet person. He loved to dance and did so with passion. He always had a smile and a hug for all. It makes me sad to know he is no longer with us here on earth but happy to know we’’ ll see him again someday in heaven.
