Linda Diane Emerson passed from this life to an eternal one with a new body free from suffering she endured in her later years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Henry Taylor and Carrie Louise Taylor.
She is survived by her husband, Benton Kim Emerson, whom she wed on June 29, 1973, her son, Matthew Benton Emerson and his wife, Carolee Emerson, two granddaughters, Lauren Farris Emerson and Allison Harper Emerson, one brother, James Elliott Taylor.
Following several years on the staff at Worthen Bank she embarked on a successful real estate career. She was a born salesperson. Her business grew quickly because of her winning personality and desire to please her clients.
Having friends and family in her home was one of the many things she enjoyed. Linda was an excellent cook; no guest or family ever left without requesting a copy of her recipes. She even had her own catering service of several years.
Her interest in interior design was reflected in her home as well as the antiques she collected and sold. She was a wonderful wife, mother, Mimi and friend. No grandmother could have displayed more pride in her two granddaughters, Lauren and Allie. Linda's beautiful brown eyes lit up when she shared their latest achievements.
One of Linda's many hobbies was working in her flower beds. She arranged many of her lilies on the tables when entertaining her guests. Linda obeyed her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, since 1979, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Special thanks and appreciation to the staff of nurses and caregivers for their devoted care at Parkway Village.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or donation of your choice.
