Michael L. Welborn was born on July 8, 1949, in Oakland, California to his parents William and Luella (Coffey) Welborn. Mike went to heaven on July 15, 2021.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Luella (Coffey) Welborn and his son William W. Welborn.
He is survived by his son David and wife Amy, his grandsons Maddox and Cruz Welborn, his daughter Jennifer and husband Jason, his granddaughter Brooklynn Manning; dear friend Sandy Welborn; sister Lu Williams, brother Bob and wife Nancy Welborn; brother Bill and wife Lynn Welborn.
He graduated from Lamar High School and received his degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas. Mike served in the Army Reserve and served on many boards including the Maumelle Methodist Church. He loved fishing with kids, was an avid golfer, world traveler, and a loving father.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, July 23, 2021, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Patrick Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Lamar Cemetery in Lamar, Arkansas. Bob Welborn, Bill Welborn, Jason Manning, Larry Carter, Darrell Plank, and Ronnie Zachary serving as pallbearers. James Calloway, Gayland Higgins, Preston Welborn, Eugene McGuire, George Overbey and Freddie Lewis serving as honorary pallbearers.
