At DeWitt High School Roger played football as a running back and lettered in football and track and field. His love of sports continued for many years as he played intramural softball with Cabot Church of Christ, where he had many fond memories.
Roger was a current member of Westside Church of Christ in Searcy, AR, and previously a member of Cabot Church of Christ where he also served as a deacon. Met him at worship in Stuttgart, where he subsequently preached for us on several occasions. When he found out we conducted estate sales, he chose us to handle his aunts sale in DeWitt. We waived a contract with a shake of hands .
He was an awesome pulpit person.
It was great to have had Roger as my friend. Rest In Peace.
Blessings to all of us who suffered this loss. Roger’s legacy lives on through his beautiful family.
I only had the privilege of getting to know him about a year ago, I believe the first time being a Tuesday evening devotional on Lou Alice Britton's driveway one beautiful Tuesday evening in July. But then he was at my house a few times, too, and every time was a pleasure and a blessing. Good to have known him this to this small and brief degree. Looking forward to more with him.
Roger always had a smile and words of encouragement. I will always remember his zeal for the Lord and his study of the Bible. He also had a lot of love for others and talked a lot about his family. Thoughts and prayers for his family in their loss.

I remember Roger Dillion as a person who always had a smile to pass on to others. Over the years we would only meet at class reunions in Dewitt and he still carried his demeanor of welcoming people regardless of their station in life.
Sorry to hear of your loss. God Bless.
I have very fond memories as a kid (about 60 years ago) of us driving from Baton Rouge to Dewitt and staying with Aunt Audrey. I think Roger and Larry were the only ones still at home then. In 1976 Roger came to see me in New Orleans. I last saw him at my Dad’s 90th birthday celebration in 2011. He was always fun of life and a great guy to be around. RIP, Cousin.
The high school crew from the Class of ‘67 will certainly miss Roger. He could brighten anyone’s day with that quick wit and big smile. Over the past few years, our classmates have met periodically for dinner and visits. He always had a tale—-and was so proud of his children. Prayers for his family.
I will never forget how Roger Baptized my Father Dale R. Dillion. This was a gift beyond what mere words can express. Thank you Roger and God Bless.
May the God of Hope grant Dear Kathy and your whole family Peace at this very difficult time. In the Light of His Love. Ann
Sorry to hear of your loss. God Bless.
So sorry to hear of Roger’s death. We were first cousins and had become close in the last few years. I will miss his phone calls where he helped me keep up with family. I know he is in a better place and as Christians we will meet again soon.
My prayers are with your entire family at this sad time of loss and grief.
Sincerely,
Sara Barton
We have fond memories of Roger during our time in Cabot. He always was smiling and could brighten any room. May the God of all comfort surround you in this difficult time.
Roger was the type of person that after you visited with him it made your day a lot better. He will be missed by all that knew him.
So sorry to hear of Roger’s passing !
Lifting his family up in prayer !
While dealing with our father's death, Roger was instrumental in introducing my brothers and me to Christ. We ended up playing softball on the Cabot Church of Christ team for several years. Although we were a very successful team, Roger's emphasis was on how we represented Christ! Roger attended my brother's funeral two years ago. Christ allowed me to meet this special man in my life.
Cousin Roger always had a smile on his face and laughter in his voice. I have fond memoires of spending time in DeWitt at Aunt Audrey & Uncle Bob's house. Those fish fry's on the carport were the best! Big hugs to all as you mourn/celebrate his life. He will be missed!
Love,
Vickie

Was just getting to know Cousin Roger and always looked forward to seeing him at family reunions. Had lots of fun conversations with him by phone, and will miss seeing him greatly. Many condolences to his dear family.
I will miss Roger, he was fun to be around and always had a good story to tell.
Thinking of the family in the passing of Roger. May God bring you peace today and in the coming days.
Roger was two years older than myself. But always friendly to everyone.

Dr. Dillion and family, sending each of you much love.
I only met Roger a few years ago. We always visited when he came here for church. I am great full to have met him. My prayers are for all the family.
My cousin Roger and I played baseball in the backyard as kids, attended DHS, and shared a lot of good times. Twenty some odd years passed since I had seen Roger, but in the 1990s we saw each other on occassion as I visited family in DeWitt. Since 2009 or so, Roger and I spent time together in California and in Arkansas as one or the other traveled out to see the other even taking a cruise to Mexico from San Diego. Pauline and I will certainly miss this good man. We were truely fortunate to share time together. God bless his soul and his family.
My sweet Roger. You will be missed at The Hight House.
I’ll see you again one day â¤ï¸
Prayers going up for Kathy, Grant, Jacqueline and David.
Love,
Melissa
