Oneta M. Allen, 62, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away July 3, 2021 in Joplin, Missouri. She was born May 30, 1959, in Clinton, Arkansas to her parents, Fletcher Haywood and Iva Mae (Wise) Allen. Oneta spent her early years in Shirley, Arkansas. She moved to Little Rock where she lived for 29 years and worked for the Air Force Base there until she was forced to retire because of bad health and she moved to Joplin, Missouri with her sister. Oneta was a happy easy-going person and was loved by everyone who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by all of us.
She is preceded in death by her parents Fletcher Haywood and Iva Mae (Wise) Allen; nephew Christopher Birge; and niece Cheryl Lynn Bush.
Oneta is survived by her brother Fletcher Harold Allen of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters Aleta Hamlin of Joplin, Missouri and Evelyn Bush of Clarksville, Arkansas; and nephew Fletcher Scott Allen of North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
