Nick Joseph Palangio, age 73, of Damascus, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Salem Place in Conway, Arkansas. He was born on June 20th,1948 to Nick and Helen (Bishop) Palangio in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He married Sharon (Keith) Horton on March 25th, 2000.

Nick was a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, and friend. He worked diligently as an accountant in Chicago, Illinois prior to relocating to Damascus, Arkansas to help run the family farm. Nick loved to travel and was dedicated to his family and farm. Nick participated in Lead Arkansas (Class 14), which is designed to broaden leadership experiences. He was also on the board of the Bee Branch Water Association in Bee Branch, Arkansas for 15 years.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Sharon Palangio; stepdaughter, Kimberly (Horton) Chojnacki and husband Timothy of Jefferson City, Missouri; stepson, Derek Horton and wife Natalie (Kirkendoll) of Clinton, Arkansas; and step-grandchildren Chelsea, Celia, and Grant Chojnacki; and Brady, Rhett, and Emmy Horton.


Funeral services for Nick will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior the service.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to a local 4 H Club.
