Lou Marlin, 82, of Batesville passed away June 22, 2021.

She was born January 22, 1939 in Moorefield to James Napoleon Carter and Ila Lou Edna (Finley) Carter.

Lou was a big sports fanatic, especially watching the Hogs play baseball and basketball. The majority of her life, she took care of children, weather it was from the neighborhood or at the preschool or daycare. She loved her grandchildren and helped take care of them.

Survivors include one son, Brooks Marlin of Longview, Texas; one daughter, Shannon Killion (Gary) of Batesville; one brother, Roland Carter (Betty) of Cave City; one sister, Janice Carter of Batesville; and three grandchildren, Makaya, Garner, and Blaize.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Marlin Jr.; and her siblings, Eleanor, Carlston, Willis, Glenda, and Douglas.

A memorial service will be held at the Park View Baptist Church, 2600 N Saint Louis Batesville, AR 72501 at 2:00pm Thursday, July 1, 2021 with Doc Spurlin officiating.
