Janice Diane (East) Ingram

of Benton, AR

June 10, 1949 - June 14, 2021

Janice Diane (East) Ingram, 72, of Benton, Arkansas passed away peacefully June 14, 2021 at a local Little Rock, Arkansas hospital.

She was born June 10, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jan, being the big sister, enjoyed caring for her many siblings. She spent countless hours at her beloved brother Larry and sister Paula's bedside as they bravely battled cancer. Jan was an avid traveler and was always ready for adventure whether by auto, plane, train, or boat. She traveled to Hawaii, Colorado, New York, Florida, Niagara Falls, basically sea to shining sea, but her trip to Alaska was her absolute favorite by far.

Jan was very gifted musically and loved to sing as well as play piano. Some of the best memories we all share is gathering around the piano as she played, and we all sang hymns. Jan followed her heart which led her to become an incredible nurse. Over 40 years she cared for countless patients in the ICU, ER, as house supervisor and an educator for so many who also followed the call into the medical field. She touched so many when she worked at various hospitals, Community Hospital and Wadley Hospital in Texarkana Texas, Baylor Hospital in Dallas Texas, and retired from her nursing career at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Jan was welcomed into eternity by her parents Eulis Loyal and Margaret (Smith) East; two brothers, Larry and Robbie East; and one sister, Paula (East) Browning.

Left to treasure her memory is her son, Michael Ingram of Benton, Arkansas; brothers, Gary East and wife, Linda of Texarkana. Arkansas, Randy East and his wife, Debbie of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Ronnie Lee East and his wife, Margo of Nashville, Arkansas; sisters, Brenda (East) Fricano of Benton, Arkansas, Becky (East) Gillenwater of Texarkana, Arkansas; nephews, Rusty East, Jason East, Johnathan East, Kevin East, Nick White, and Joey Gillenwater; and nieces, Amie Mathney, Shayna Chapman, Jill Bishop, Tiffany Browning, Keera East, and Katie East.

We invite all friends, family and loved ones to Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Jan Ingram 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home located at 6700 Alcoa Road in Benton, Arkansas. Bro. Ira Taylor, a lifelong friend, will be officiating the service.
