of Paris, AR
December 13, 1936 - June 17, 2021
Delores Jean Kohler was born on December 13, 1936 in Paris, Arkansas to Phillip M. VanHorn and Audi C. VanHorn. She passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in Paris at the age of 84.
Delores worked at Lakeland Real Estate in Paris for many years and was the family homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, as well as the center of our family. She loved to gather on special occasions and reminisce with her loved ones, unless you were to ask what's for dinner, where she would say you have two options; take it or leave it. She enjoyed painting ceramics, gardening, and playing the piano. As a godly women she would start each new year at Genesis 1 and read the entire Bible, starting over again on the next new year. She left behind many loving memories and lessons learned for her family. She will be dearly missed, always in our thoughts and prayers until kingdom come.
Delores is preceded in death by her father, Phillip M. VanHorn; her mother Audi C. VanHorn; one sister, Phyllis Davis and one brother Phillip M. VanHorn, Jr..
Survivors include, her husband Bill Kohler of Paris; sister Wandema (VanHorn) Vlachos of Paris; three sons, Brad Petz, Stan Petz and Joe Walker all of Paris; one daughter, Sherry Freeman of Paris; seven grandchildren, Larry Miller, Brandy Ezell, Jared Petz and Harrison Petz all of Paris, Stacy Smith, Dylan Walker and Kendra Hice all of Charleston; one grandniece, Jessica Simms of Oklahoma, City; one grandnephew, Derek Thompson of Pottsville; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
