Donald Kent Brugeon

of Marshall, AR

July 10, 1932 - May 5, 2021

On May 5, 2021, Donald Kent Brugeon of Marshall, Arkansas passed away peacefully at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was 88 years old. Don was born on July 10, 1932 to Raymond and Retha Brugeon of New York State.

As a teenager, he and his parents moved to Washington State. On May 31, 1958 he married Shirley Elizabeth Mallette of Malone, New York. They were married for 52 years, until Shirley's death in 2010. On November 13, 1965 the couple became proud parents of twin girls, Maria and Michele. They moved to the town of Yelm, Washington in 1969. On January 6, 1973, Don and Shirley both were baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses. They were wonderful examples of unwavering faith until their deaths. In October of 2000, they along with their daughters, son in law and two grandchildren moved to Marshall, Arkansas until their deaths. They both loved the town, the people they met here, and their congregation. Don said so many times over the years that moving to Marshall was the best decision he could have made.

Don was well known by all to love clocks, radios, cars, TV's and vintage country music. At the Kingdom Hall in Marshall, he was in charge of keeping the clocks on time, to the second. He was known for being gentle, kind, generous, loyal, faithful, and so many other wonderful qualities. He enjoyed smiling and laughing and being with the ones he loved. He enjoyed having all his family at his home, and he would just sit in his chair, smiling and laughing and in general being entertained by their antics. He made an impact on all who knew him.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry, and his wife Shirley. He was survived by his two daughters, Maria Groseclose and Michele Brugeon, Maria's husband Paul Groseclose, his two grandchildren, Ashlee Towns and Wesley Groseclose and their spouses, Andrew Towns and Autumn Groseclose, all of Marshall, Arkansas, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and multitudes of friends.

Don believed that he will be resurrected to perfect unending life on a perfect paradise earth, where he will be reunited with his dear wife, Shirley, who he missed every day. We will all miss him terribly until we see him again.

Cards, flowers, and condolences can be sent to 226 Leisure Rd. Marshall, AR. 72650
