Pamlia Faye Baker

of Yelville, AR

June 1, 1949 - June 8, 2021

Pamlia Faye Baker, age 72, passed away Tuesday June 8, 2021 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Pam was born June 1, 1949 in Dover, Arkansas to Thomas Ralph and Nina Kathrine (Forehand) Brace.

She moved to Arkansas form Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1972 with her 4 year old daughter to take care of Pam's mother. She worked at the Marion County Shirt Factory for 19 years and at Ranger Boats for 5 years before deciding to put herself through CNA school at age 60, which was her greatest ambition. She worked as a CNA and caregiver until she retired. Her true calling was helping people. She considered putting herself through college to get her CNA license as her second greatest accomplishment, after her family. She was a true example of what hard work and determination at any age could accomplish

Always a hard worker, Pam loved her family and always put everyone before herself. She loved working in her flower beds and had such a gift with plants that she could grow anything. Also a vegetable gardener, Pam enjoyed canning from her garden.. She loved the outdoors where she liked to fish, but squirrel hunting was her favorite pastime. She fed all the birds and hummingbirds that came around. She was a God-fearing woman.

Pamlia is survived by her husband, Rick, of the home; her daughter Reene Lynn Keys (George) of Yellville, Arkansas; step daughter Stacy Dawn Lawton (Jason) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sister Freida Barnes (Tom) of Yellville, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Brittany Price, Amber Thiemer, Jillian Lawton; eight great-grandchildren: Shaun Price, Jacob Price, Zach Burns, Jayden Price, Rylynn Pence, Kinleigh Price, Kathrine Pence, and Aubree Thiemer; and Skeeter, the family pug.

She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Brace, her mother Nina Rose, her stepdad Laurel Rose and her brother Michael Brace.

Funeral service for Mrs. Baker will be 7:00 pm Friday June 11, 2021 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Yellville, Arkansas with Bro. Danny Spence officiating.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time.
