Edward "Eddie" Norwood, age 67, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 in North Little Rock. Mr. Norwood was born May 4, 1954 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to the late William J. and Mary Alice (Hawkins) Norwood. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later worked for EnviroTech Chemical Services where he was one of the three original hires (O.G) in 2011. During his spare time, Mr. Norwood volunteered with the Disable American Veterans Charity and he loved to ride his Harley and socialize with friends at the General Store.He is survived by a brother, Jerry Norwood (Lisa) of New Braunfels, Texas; sister, Judy Tipton (Donnie) of Clarendon; niece, Ashley Norwood of Magnolia; nephew, Cody Norwood of Killeen, Texas; and a special friend, Billie Jo Bear.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Sherry Norwood.A memorial service for Eddie Norwood will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. I remember Eddie from old Cherry St. nights and he was a good friend and a lot of fun. May God wrap his Holy Arms around these sad times, but I know Eddie is OK and having a good time.
Eddie was one of my oldest and dearest friends whom I lovingly called Fast Eddie. He was a kind, loving person and I will miss him. Prayers Judy and Jerry and your family. Eddie talked of you all often and just listening to him you knew he loved you all very much.
