Clara Lenora Caldwell Carter, 92, of Sulphur Rock passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born July 23, 1928, in the Gainsboro Community to Henry Omer Caldwell and Lula Crawford Caldwell.
Lenora worked at White Rodgers for 29 years and assisted on the family farm. She took pride in mowing her own yard.
Survivors include her three sons, Larry Carter (Beverly), Rickey Carter (Glenda), and Ronny Carter (Nancy) all of Sulphur Rock; daughter-in-law, Janet Carter of Sulphur Rock; three sisters, Norma Rowe, Peggy Turner, and Martha Batson (Kendall); nine grandchildren, Scott Carter, Brandi Fagan (Chris), Mike Carter (Mary), Norah Weller, Bradley Carter (Belinda), Brent Carter (Amanda), Matthew Evans Carter (Brooke), Jon Eric Carter (RaeAnn), Blake Andrew Carter (Melissa); fifteen great-grandchildren; Colton Carter, Kailea Fagan, Logan Weller, Ethan Weller, Aspen Treadway, Bobby Smart, Kayla Smart, Bailey Carter, Bryce Carter, Addison Carter, Jovi, Stevi, Hollis, Wyatt, and Finley Carter and two additional girls yet to be born; three great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, which includes, Louise Hooper, a special person in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Butler Carter; one son, William ''Bill'' Carter; three brothers, Jessie Earl ''Tink'' Caldwell, Roe Neil Caldwell, and Billy Ray Caldwell; one sister, Jernice Nothern; and one grandchild, Dustin Carter.
Pallbearers are Scott Carter, Michael Carter, Bradley Carter, Brent Carter, Matt Carter, Jon Carter, and Blake Carter.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Quindora Coe, Nonie Edley, Cecilia Lumpkin, Thomas and Linda Wood, Bea Turner, Murl and Debbie Wright.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Monday, June 7, 2021 at Sharp United Methodist Church with Frank Tripp and John M. Moore officiating. Acolytes will be Logan Weller and Ethan Weller.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the funeral home.

Although we didn't know your Mother, but she had to be an amazing mom to raise such wonderful sons! May God be with you and grant you comfort! Your families are in our prayers.

Sister Carter was the most caring, sweet person a preacher could have as a parishioner. What a delight it was to know her, have spiritual conversations with her, and hear her stories of the old days. I will miss her dearly, but I know heaven has gained a Saint! Cori and I send our love to Rickey, Glenda and all the family!
