James Cagle, age 76, of Helena, Arkansas passed away on June 2, 2021. He was born September 24, 1944 in Turkey Scratch, Arkansas to the late Annie Elizabeth Gross and Dolphes Cagle. Mr. Cagle was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed riding horses, mules, fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelle Cagle of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Brian Lee, Shawn Lee, Jared Lee and Megan Stockton; four great grandchildren, Wyatt Lee, Ryan Lee, Tatum Lee and Harrison Lee; brother, Charles Cagle (Helena) of West Helena, Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Nema Everhart, Juanita "Tater" Cagle and Doris Reed; and one brother, Ralph Cagle.
A funeral service for Mr. James Cagle will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 7, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be held an hour before the service at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home as well. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Brother Adam Rowland will officiate.
Pallbearers are Brian Lee, Shawn Lee, Jared Lee, Frasier Palmer, Tony Palmer and Tom Reed.

Was sadden hearing of James passing . We were friends for several years. He was a very kind caring man. He will be missed. May God be with his love ones.

He will be very missed by Melissa and myself. Will always remember chasing his mules Maisy and Daisy down the road and Uncle James on his side by side getting them back home.

Bless his heart we were friends for 50 years but haven’t seen him in such a long time. But he was a super guy, he will be missed.
