Mary Anthony

of Benton, AR

October 16, 1928 - June 3, 2021

Mary Elizabeth Anthony, 92, of Benton, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was born October 16, 1928, in what was then, the Thomasville Community near Palestine, to Lee Falsom and Allie Josephine Shelby Gray.

Mary was the most caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and soon-to-be great-great-grandmother. She had a heart of gold and you never doubted that she was talking to someone, somewhere, making their day full of laughs and joy. She was very social and enjoyed being the ''door greeter'' when she moved to Heartland Rehabilitation and Care Center. Her life was filled with numerous adventures, including camping with her husband, Charles, doing word searches, and attending church. She will be missed, but her memory will be cherished, and her legacy will continue through those who loved and cared for her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Anthony, and brothers, Merrill Leo Gray, Cecil Jefferson Gray, Charlie Wade Gray, and Marion Shelby Gray.

Mary is survived by her sons, David Allen Anthony, Kenneth Ray Anthony and wife, Jeannie; daughter, Dana Elizabeth McClellan and husband, Junior; grandchildren, James McClellan, Jason McClellan and wife, Courtenay, Heather Priest and husband, Flynn, Holly Chung and husband, Sammy; great-grandchildren, McKynzie McClellan, Jaycee McClellan, Emree McClellan, Belle Dean, Abbie Priest, Charlie Priest; one great-great-grandson on the way, River Patrick; sisters, Dollie Barnard, Vicki L. Smith and her husband, Tim, and many other extended family members and friends.

A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 8, 2021, 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton.

Visitation will be Monday, June 7, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home.

Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 West Markham Center Dr, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Ms. Mary was always glowing radiantly. Such a sweet soul. I know my mother loved her and your mom was so sweet to her and to me after she passed. What a glorious peace knowing she is celebrating with the Lord. Prayers for your family.
