Mona Lynn Elliott, age 55, of Yellville passed away Monday May 31, 2021 at her home.
Mona was born in Yellville, AR April 13, 1966 and went to school at Bruno-Pyatt. With grit and determination, she helped start Wood Family Enterprise, a national company that sold cookbooks and kitchen products on QVS and the Home Shopping Network for over a decade. She was the most incredible mother to two, grandmother to one, wife, daughter, and friend whose capacity for unconditional love and kindness deeply impacted everyone she touched. She burned the candle at both ends to light the way for others and was a force of tremendous good. She brought hope, optimism, and peace wherever she went and faced the challenges of life with grace and constant persistence - rising up every day for the people in her world. And it is this profound goodness, her capacity for immense love, that is her legacy, and what we carry forward. May we commemorate her by loving a little harder, showing more compassion to others, and investing in what matters most - in the lives of those around us.
She is survived by her mother, Syble Whitlock, her husband, Curtis Elliott, two sons, T.C. and Isaac, her grandchild, Jace, her brother Mike Whitlock, his wife Michelle and two children Madi and Matt; the aunts and uncles who loved her like a sister: Pauline Dillard, Marlene Wyatt, LB Wood, Martha Dees, Tammy Cantrell, Benny Gene Mcintyre, and Rita Fa Sweet, her dear cousin Rebecca Gates, numerous other cousins and family members, and her brothers-in-law Farrell Elliott and Mike Watts.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Jim Whitlock, uncle JB Wood, and aunts Earnestine Weaver, and Noreen Ply.
Service for Mona will be 2:00 pm Friday June 4, 2021 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Yellville, Arkansas with David Wyatt and T.C Elliott officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time.
