Jeannie (Ricketts) Smith, 79, went to be with Jesus Saturday, May 29, 2021. She was born April 28, 1942 in Clarksville, AR to the late Homer and Bertha Hurst Ricketts. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence, Carl, Bill and Robert also three sisters, Vernell Blakslee, Jane Bradley and Norma Boen.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dr. Buddy Smith, a daughter Marcia (David) Applegate, two sons, Wesley Baker and James Keith Baker, four stepdaughters, Montye (John) Mickelson, Kaylan (Druse) Ellis, Leslee (Tim) Tell and Sabrina Mellor, three grandchildren, Josh Applegate, Hannah Applegate and John Baker, four step grandchildren, Heather Culler, Zaid Tell, Lauren Cain and Tina Tell, one great-grandaughter, Remi Baker, two step great-grandaughters, Hadlee Culler and Haslee Culler and three sisters, Alice Treadway, Barbara Freeling and Georgia Hale.
Visitation for Jeannie will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 P.M at Roller Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas
Mrs. Smith's funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 10:00 A.M at the Cabin Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Lynn Garmroth officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville with John Mickelson, Druse Ellis, Rickey Treadway, Eddie Bradley, Gary Bradley, and Len Bradley serving as Pallbearers.

I cannot believe we have lost you and mom within three months of each other! I know you both are with our Lord now, but boy does it hurt!! We will always have our memories!! Buddy we are praying for you and the whole family during this sad time in your lives! Love to all!
We sure did love our Jeannie, and we will miss her so much. She had such a radiant smile and sweet countenance. We're thankful for the hope of eternal reunion with our loved ones, through Jesus Christ, our Blessed Redeemer!
Visited with Jeannie in rehab. Sweet and friendly as ever. She was a special lady. Our love and sympathy to Buddy and the families. May the peace that passes understanding be theirs.
