Saddened to hear of Cliffs passing. He was a great friend and would help anybody. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Cliff. .
Our sincere condolences to the family.
I worked with Clifford at Lamar Park post office many years ago and he was always in a good mood! It’s because of him I whistle the theme to the Looney tunes still to this day!! Truly saddened on his passing! My condolences to his children and his family
I’m glad to have been able to work with you brother you brought so much laughter and support for your fellow carriers. Your retirement day was the only time we ever had a cookout with cold beer on the parking! Great times for great memories Cliff thanks.
Always enjoyed being around Cliff. He was a good man and had a good heart.
I’ve known Cliff since elementary school in the 50’s, which is virtually for my entire life. I don’t think that I have ever known a finer person. Even as kids, everyone loved Cliff. He always had a smile on his face and a new adventure to talk about. He lived his life with great dignity and drew the respect and admiration of all who knew him. Mark Twain once said, “Let us endeavor to live our lives in such a way that when we come to die, even the undertaker will be sorry.†With Cliff’s passing, I’m sure that every person who ever knew him is sorry, and greatly saddened. He will be missed.
I remember Cliff, my cousin, as the most nature-loving and adventurous member of our family. I think I was jealous of him when we were young after hearing about some of his exploits in the great outdoors. There was always some critter he caught or encountered at Padre Island or at our Grandma Shipp's place in the country. I wish we could have had more time together as adults. Our prayers are with his family.

We are writing this with a great void in our hearts for Cliff. We know that there is a void in so many other's hearts for this man who did so much for everyone he met. He served God, the US, his family and all others he came in contact with. While others may take, he was always willing to give. I (Steve) received many blessings talking with him in this past year. Although only by phone, I knew that I was talking to a man who cared about how I was doing as much as how he was doing. This unselfish way of living is an inspiration to all of us. God bless his family. We will miss him greatly, but he is in a better place.
Our deepest condolences for your loss. We are thinking about you and family. Sending healing prayers.
So Sorry for your loss.
We are sorry for your loss. Cliff will always be pictured in our remembering with his wonderful smile, and kind heart. We know he will be missed very much. May God bring you comfort as he walks beside you in this difficult time.
Sorry for the Family’s loss
I only met Cliff once, but after I spent a day with him at his daughter's wedding with my son John, I felt I had known him forever. He was a good and decent Christian man who loved life to the fullest. As a fellow Vietnam veteran, I salute him for his devotion and commitment to our great country. A Great American who will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. The moon flowers are blooming in his honor! May He rest in eternal peace and may God comfort his family.
Donna, I was truly saddened to hear of Cliff’s passing. He was a very personable man. I pray you and your family have comfort knowing he is in heaven now with no pain or worries. May God bless you.
So sorry to here about Clifford passing. You and Clifford were very good people. Will miss you all. Your retired mail carriers.
Donna and family, I will always remember Cliff just like his picture, always a smile on his face and you just knew he was getting ready to tell a story. We will miss him too, take comfort that he is on his heavenly throne (maybe getting ready to tell another story). Sending our love and prayers for all.
Cliff and I go back to July of 1956. I have several wonderful childhood friends but no one closer than Cliff. Man, could I share some stories about things we did on Padre Island. 😠He brought me such joy! Everyone needs a friend to laugh with in the good, bad, and ugly times of life. I look forward to laughing again with Springer on the other side of eternity! 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Donna, if you need anything, Debbie and I are here for you. God’s blessings! Mike
We will greatly miss Cliff! He’s my big brother and like a brother + a close friend to my husband Gene. Life was one big adventure for him-he loved wildlife-exploring-hunting-fishing-riding the rapids in a river and so much more. If his adventure involved some danger or risks that didn’t hold him back. I do believe he’s the one of the three of us that gave our Mother her first gray hairs! As a teen, one day he came home with a live rattlesnake and asked our Mother to cook it! She told him if he wanted to eat it, he’d have to cook it himself and of course he did! He loved life, his family and friends and would even help get you into trouble (LOL). He was generous and would help anyone who needed it and was ready to lend a hand. He was compassionate and cared about others. And most important of all - He loved God and God’s word. We rejoice he’s having a new adventure in Heaven with our Lord! Elaine & Gene Lewis
So sorry for your loss. Cliff was always there for me Thur my hardest times in life. My older grandkids loved him especially, Austin his stories amazed them. Cliff had a special way with kids. Prayers and thoughts have been and are with you. May God bring you comfort in the memories. Words can’t convey the hearts love and hurt. He will greatly be missed.
Any time I was with Cliff, he was in a great mood with a big smile on his face. While working at the food closet, he was always smiling and joking with those he was helping. I knew he was a great ambassador for us!
I’m so sorry that I only knew you for such a short time. I miss you, my friend!
Donna, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am praying for you and your family.
Cliff was a good family friend, I remember hanging out with him and my dad when I was younger and being in a Sunday school class he would teach at the church. Every time I would see him he would say “Hey boy, you minding your parents!†It was our running joke between each other.
So sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
A good person who enjoyed life! My sons best friend! They grew up together in Corpus Christi,Texas!
Cliff and I grew up together, I met him at elementary school in 1957 and we both attended the same church. We managed to stay in contact for 64 years, learning about the good and bad of life. I was the
oldest in my family and he was my big brother and I always looked foward to hanging around with him. Cliff was still young and with be missed by everyone he came in contact with. His memories will always be with me. What is a friend A single soul in one body.
