Stanley "Stan" Duncan

of Roland, AR

April 16, 1943 - May 15, 2021

Stan was born April 16, 1943 in Eureka, Kansas to Albert Kenneth and Anna Mae Duncan. He is
the oldest of 3 children - Stan, Jerry and Debra.

Stan attended Wichita State University (WSU) where he met the love of his life, Freda Sue Gladhill.
Freda and Stan were married May 28, 1966 in Wichita, Kansas. They later adopted 3 children,
Angela, Drew and Ryan. He was the proud Grandpa to 4 grandchildren, Jeremy, Cassie, Zoie and
Hunter along with a great-grandchild, Corbin.

Stan worked as a Commercial Lines Underwriter for Travelers Insurance Company for 30 years.
Over the years he and Freda lovingly opened their hearts and home to many foster babies. After
retirement they loved to travel in their RV - they traveled to every state (except Alaska).

Stan loved his family, friends, the outdoors and his dogs. Friends described him as a good, good
man. Always putting others first and a great man that told funny, clean jokes.

He will be greatly missed and loved.

Memorial contributions may be made to ''The CALL of Arkansas'' - www.thecallinarkansas.org or
their Facebook page The CALL.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 3:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000
N. Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Stan was a wonderful friend in my 6th Grade Class at Jefferson Elementary School in Wichita many years ago, 1954/55. A good, good guy. Our 6th Grade Class watched the final game of the 1954 World Series in his home which was a couple of blocks from the school. Unforgettable. We lost touch after the 6th Grade and reconnected on Facebook.

Goodnight, and Godspeed Stan. Thank you for the wonderful memories, and sharing a part of your life with us. And me.
