Katherine Von Kanel, age 64, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021. She was born February 16, 1957 in Michigan City, Indiana to Betty Chism Inebnit and the late Amos Chism. Katherine was a member of Fourth Street Baptist in West Helena, Arkansas. She loved gardening, yardwork and camping.
She is survived by one son, Wesley Von Kanel of Sardis, Mississippi; two daughters, Amber Kilpatrick (Justin) and Victoria Camp (Dustin) both of Lexa, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Anthony Reynolds, Justin ''Jug'' Kilpatrick, Tyler Von Kanel, Kennedy Kilpatrick, Austin Camp, Kaylee Von Kanel; two great grandchildren; Ashlyn Kilpatrick and Riley Kilpatrick; a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Amos Chism; husband; Herbert Von Kanel, brother, David Chism; sister, Ginger Atkins.
A funeral service for Mrs. Kathy Von Kanel will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Lance Madden will officiate.
Pallbearers are Anthony Reynolds, Justin ''Jug'' Kilpatrick, Tyler Von Kanel, Wesley Von Kanel, Dustin Camp and Justin Kilpatrick.

I am so sorry to hear about Kathy. She was so sweet and kind. We worked together at the hospital and I haven't seen her in years. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers
